Elisabeth Perlie, head of international sales at France-based Le Pacte International, has closed a number of deals for its Cannes and Toronto CWC title The Solitude of Prime Numbers.

Saverio Costanzo adapted Paolo Giordano’s bestselling novel, about two friends who have been through personal tragedies. Luca Marinelli, Alba Rohwacher and Isabella Rossellini star.

Le Pacte’s latest deals for the film are to Spain (Alta), Benelux (Cinemien), Switzerland (Coopi), Israel (New Cinema), Czech Republic (Aero Film), Ex-Yugoslavia (MCF). The first press & industry screening of the film was last night, so more deals are expected before TIFF ends. “It’s really selling well,” said Perlie. The film is close to a UK deal.

The film is a French-Italian-German co-production and will be released by Bavaria in Germany, Medusa in Italy (it is already off to a strong start at the box office after a Sept 10 launch), and Le Pacte in France.

Also, Le Pacte has sold Christophe Honore’s Locarno title Man At Bath (Homme Au Bain) to Benelux (Lumiere) with UK, German and US deals likely to close later this week.

Mathieu Amalric’s Cannes prizewinner On Tour has further sales to Australia (Aztec), Czech Republic (DNC), Hungary (Suez), ex Yugoslavia (MCF), Italy (Nomad) and UK (Artificial Eye).
