The producers branch executive committee of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced the final roster of producers nominated in the best picture category for the 79th Annual Academy Awards.

Graham King was named sole producing nominee on The Departed, while Brad Grey, Brad Pitt and Martin Scorsese, also listed as producers on the film, were deemed ineligible. Likewise Ron Yerxa and Albert Berger, who produced Little Miss Sunshine, were omitted from the list, despite winning the PGA award recently alongside their co-producers David T Friendly, Peter Saraf and Marc Turteltaub.

Brad Grey, now chairman of Paramount, had appealed the decision.

The films and their producers are:

Babel: Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, Jon Kilik and Steve Golin.

The Departed: Graham King

Letters From Iwo Jima: Clint Eastwood, Steven Spielberg and Robert Lorenz.

Little Miss Sunshine: David T Friendly, Peter Saraf and Marc Turtletaub.

The Queen: Andy Harries, Christine Langan and Tracey Seaward.

The producers of The Departed and Little Miss Sunshine were not announced on Jan 23. The nominees for these two films were determined by the executive committee at a meeting on Jan 25.
