Agile Films and Archer’s Mark have now finished principal photography on feature documentary Next Goal Wins.

The film, directed by Mike Brett and Steve Jamison, is about the American Samoan football team, the lowest ranked football team in the world that recently ended a nearly 20-year losing streak.

Agile’s Kristian Brodie produces.

The team shot (on the Red Epic) for more than six months on location in the South Pacific. Next Goal Wins is now in post for delivery in February 2012.

This film is the first project from Agile’s new Development Fund, which aims to invest £100,000 each year in emerging talent.

Brodie said: “The journey of the American Samoan football team is a genuine underdog story, and we feel that the heartwarming, against-all-odds outcome will appeal to a really wide audience. In Mike and Steve we have two of the most talented young directors to emerge from the UK in some time, and this film is certain to get them the recognition they deserve.”

Agile has worked on shorts, commercials and music videos since 2004, and has now expanded into a full-service production company (including post-production).

Archer’s Mark is the company founded by Mike Brett and Steve Jamison to work with brands across all platforms.
