Aldamisa International will commence pre-sales in the run-up to Berlin on the horror-romance Vivien Hasn’t Been Herself Lately.

Aldamisa Entertainment closed a deal with Neal Dodson, Corey Moosa and Zachary Quinto’s Before The Door Pictures to produce Brian Duffield’s directorial debut.

Vivien Hasn’t Been Herself Lately centres on a married couple as they struggle to survive against a supernatural entity. Aldamisa and Before the Door are out to cast.

Vivien has always been a project close to my heart, and I couldn’t be more excited to be working with such phenomenal producers as Neal, Corey, Zachary and Nicki,” said Duffield.

“Their dedication to making unique, character-driven films makes them the perfect partners to go on this adventure with. I feel incredibly lucky to have them and Aldamisa supporting me on my first film.”

Executive producer Nicki Cortese introduced the script to Aldamisa and Before The Door.

“Immediately after reading Brian’s amazing script and meeting him, we knew we had to produce Vivien,” said Dodson, whose company recently produced All Is Lost and is preparing JC Chandor’s third film, A Most Violent Year. “It’s brave and commercial: a truly original new film-making voice here.”

Aldamisa International’s executive vice-president of sales, Eric Min (pictured) will spearhead pre-sales. Jere Hausfater and Philip Elway negotiated the deal on behalf of Aldamisa.

Aldamisa Entertainment has two films in post: Jon Favreau’s Chef, which Open Road will distribute in the US, and Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s Sin City 2, which The Weinstein Company is releasing.
