EXCLUSIVE: In Search of A Midnight Kiss director’s new feature stars Rupert Friend, Jennifer Ulrich.
Alex Holdridge, the director of the Independent Spirit Award John Cassavetes Award-winning In Search of a Midnight Kiss, is now in post-production on his new feature Meet Me In Montenegro.
Seth Caplan, who produced Midnight Kiss, again produces.
The film is a comedy about failed American writer (Holdridge) and a failed European dancer (Norwegian newcomer Linnea Saasen) who have a chance meeting in Berlin and start an affair despite the fact that they are moving to opposite ends of the earth. Rupert Friend (The Young Victoria) plays the writer’s best friend who is in a fading relationship and toys with the idea of taking his girlfriend – played by Jennifer Ulrich (The Wave) – to a sex club.
Holdridge wrote the script with Saasen.
The film shot in Berlin (4 weeks), Los Angeles (1 week) and Montenegro (1 week). The first cut of the film will be edited in Montenegro.
No sales company is confirmed yet.
Meet Me In Montenegro is expected to be delivered later this year.
