Ashley Judd has joined the cast of Foresight Unlimited’s heist caper Flypaper, which is set to go before the cameras on June 7 in Louisiana.

As previously announced, Rob Minkoff is directing and the film will star Patrick Dempsey, Tim Blake Nelson, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Mekhi Phifer and John Ventimiglia in the story of rival gangs that rob a bank at the same time.

Foresight Unlimited’s Mark Damon is producing alongside Peter Safran, Dempsey, Joannie Burstein, Greg Walker and Tamara Stuparich De La Barra. Gudrun Giddings serves as executive producer.

Minkoff previously directed The Forbidden Kingdom, The Lion King and Stuart Little.

Foresight was pre-selling the title in Cannes and closed deals with Hoyts for Australia and New Zealand, Bac Films for France, Telepool for Germany and Austria, Eagle for Italy, Aurum for Spain, Daro for Russia and Svensk for Scandinavia.

Independent has licensed the film for Benelux, Padora for Eastern Europe, Shooting Stars for the Middle East, and CDC for Latin America.

Damon unveiled two new projects on the Croisette: The $35m FBI thriller Recoil will be directed by Mark Steven Johnson and then there is the action project Universal SoldierIV, which reunites Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren. Foresight is in post-production on The Ledge starring Liv Tyler, Charlie Hunnam, Patrick Wilson and Terrence Howard.
