Universal Pictures top brass have announced a trio of key animation releases.

Despicable Me 3 will arrive in theatres on June 30 2017 and follows the barnstorming global run of its predecessor (pictured), which stands at $935.8m and counting.

Untitled Illumination Entertainment 2016 Project 2 will open on December 21 2016. Garth Jennings, who directed Son Of Rambow, will write and direct the story about “courage, competition and carrying a tune.”

Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas is set for November 17 2017. Pete Candeland will adapt a reimagined version of the children’s book adapted by Michael LeSieur.
