The filmmaker’s Blind Wink has entered into a three-year deal for Verbinski to produce and direct.
New Regency president and CEO Brad Weston announced the deal on February 4 and said the partners were already developing two projects.
The first is scheduled to begin shooting this summer.
New Regency previously struck deals with Plan B Entertainment and Darren Aronofsky’s Protozoa Films.
The company is in post-production on David Fincher’s Gone Girl adaptation and Alejandro González Iñárritu’s Birdman. Noah is set to open through Paramount on March 28.
