Arianne Fraser’s company will introduce the dark comedy to buyers in Cannes following its Tribeca world premiere. Jolly! is one of three productions planned for this year by Atlas Entertainment subsidiary Atlas Independent.

First-time director Chadd Harbold directed from a screenplay by another first-timer, Brian Petsos, about a man who enlists his cousin to investigate his dog’s mysterious death.

Petsos stars in Revenge For Jolly! (pictured) alongside Elijah Wood, Adam Brody, Oscar Isaac and Kristen Wiig. Atlas Independent head William Green produced with Aaron Ginsburg and Petsos through his A Saboteur label.

“In just over a year, Atlas Independent has developed into a fully functioning production company producing high quality commercial films with an indie-minded price tag,” division head William Green said. “We’ve exceeded the goals we set for our first year, largely due to our massively talented young support team, and I am very proud of what Atlas Independent has accomplished in such a short time.”

“Atlas Independent is a unique production company led by a team of innovative filmmakers who have an aptitude for identifying commercial films with top-tier talent,” Highland CEO Fraser said. “We expect a very warm reception from buyers and are looking forward to launching Revenge For Jolly! at this year’s market.”

Atlas Independent’s roster includes Sacha Bennett’s casino heist tale Get Lucky, which is in post and is produced with Gateway Films and stars James Cosmo, Craig Fairbrass and Luke Treadaway. Cinema Management Group handles international sales.

Open Grave is set to commence principal photography on May 4 with Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego at the helm of the horror mystery. Atlas Independent’s Green and Aaron Ginsburg are producing with Michael Wunderman and the film is being produced in association with 852 Films. Camela Galano represents international sales through her new Speranza13 Media.

William Monahan’s crime thriller Mojave is set to begin shooting in August and the Oscar winning writer wrote the screenplay and will direct.
