The Scot is confirmed while Kate Hudson is in talks to star in Born To Be King, a rom-com that Peter Capaldi will direct. Indomina Releasing will commence worldwide sales at the AFM.
Peter Capaldi wrote the original screenplay about a film extra who falls for a starlet. Production is scheduled to begin in January 2013 at Pinewood Studios in the UK. Pinewood operates Indomina’s new facilities in the Dominican Republic.
“Born To Be King exemplifies the type of high quality product Indomina aims to bring to the international marketplace,” said Indomina’s head of international sales and distribution Stephanie Denton.
“Peter’s screenplay seamlessly weaves the story of the film within the film. It’s an exciting, entertaining, and genuinely funny project. Ewan and Kate are the perfect on-screen pair to bring this story to life.”
Alexandra Stone and Dan Lupovitz will produce while Ron Fogelman and William Parente flesh out the executive producer roster.
Denton and Indomina’s Rob Williams negotiated the deal with the producers.
