Harvey Weinstein’s former top buyer Michelle Krumm is bringing the story of the controversial Julian Assange to the big screen in partnership with Barry Josephson.

Michelle Krumm Productions and Josephson Entertainment optioned rights to Australian reporter Andrew Fowler’s upcoming book The Most Dangerous Man In The World.

Fowler’s tome will be published later this year and takes an in-depth look at the Wikileaks founder from childhood to present-day. Fowler first interviewed Assange in May 2010. The book is published through Melbourne University Press later this year.

Krumm will produce with Josephson. She previously served as evp and head of acquisitions and co-productions at TWC and left to start her own company in 2008.
