Lakeshore Entertainment has come on to co-finance and co-produce the action fantasy with Summit Entertainment.

Dallas Buyers Club screenwriter Melisa Wallack has been hired to polish Cory Goodman’s original screenplay with revisions by DW Harper. Breck Eisner directs.

Vin Diesel will star in The Last Witch Hunter and produces alongside Mark Canton and Bernie Goldmann.

Lakeshore’s Tom Rosenberg, Gary Lucchesi and Eric Reid will serve as executive producers with Diesel’s colleague Samantha Vincent and Adam Goldworm.

Lionsgate International handles sales outside the US and Summit will distribute in the US.
