Lionsgate has acquired US rights from Lakeshore and Sidney Kimmel Entertainment to the upcoming crime thriller One For The Money starring Katherine Heigl.

Lakeshore’s Elisabeth Costa de Beauregard and Nick Meyer’s Sierra Pictures will jointly sell foreign rights in Cannes.

Julie Ann Robinson, who recently directed The Last Song, is directing from a current rewrite by Liz Brixius. Lakeshore’s Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi are producing with Sidney Kimmel and Wendy Finerman.

Lionsgate president of motion picture production Mike Paseornek will oversee production for the company.

Lionsgate’s senior executive vice-president of motion picture group Rob McEntegart and executive vice-president of business and legal affairs, acquisitions and co-productions Wendy Jaffe brokered the deal with Lakeshore COO Eric Reid.
