Writer-director Raymond De Felitta is reuniting with Lucky Monkey Pictures’ Lauren Versel and Maria Teresa Arida on the romantic comedy Married And Cheating.

The trio originally worked together on De Felitta’s City Island starring Andy Garcia and Julianna Margulies, which won the 2009 Tribeca Film Festival Heineken Audience Award and will be released by Anchor Bay in March.

Versel, Arida and their New York-based Lucky Monkey Pictures will produce Married And Cheating with De Felitta’s bicoastal Medici Entertainment. Casting is underway ahead of a summer shoot in New York and Paris.

Married And Cheating tells the story of three unfaithful couples whose paths cross over a long weekend in New York and Paris. The producers will appoint North American and international sales agents shortly.

“This will be a fun project and Lauren Versel, Maria Teresa Arida and Lucky Monkey are ideal partners for me,” De Felitta said. “They let me have my creative head with City Island and have expressed nothing but support for my work in the future.”

Married And Cheating is brilliantly funny and completely human,” Versel said. “Raymond De Felitta is unique in his ability to make you laugh and cry while telling a story people can relate to. Maria Teresa and I are thrilled to be collaborating with Raymond again.”

The US premiere of Lucky Monkey Pictures’ The Last Summer Of The Boyitya from Argentina’s Julia Solomanoff will screen at the Miami Film Festival in March.

Versel and Arida will commence principal in April with Red Hour Films and Molly Hassell on Amy Heckerling’s Vamps, which stars Alicia Silverstone and Krysten Ritter. Parlay Films is handling international sales.
