The Golden Calf has picked up fuding from the Malta Film Funds and will be produced by Maltese production house Pro Motion Limited.

Malta’s first full length animation, The Golden Calf, is set to go into production in 2013.

The animted 3D adventure film about two 8 year old cousins who embark on a treasure hunt around the islands of Malta and Gozo to find the Golden Calf mentioned in the bible, is being produced by Maltese TV production house Pro.Motion Limited.

The project has already been awarded funding by the Malta Film Funds.

Carmel Bonnici is executive producing and wil be leading the team of Maltese animators.
