Louise Redknapp will star opposite Ray Winstone in Tim Lewiston’s British comedy caper Hot Potato

Colm Meaney and Jack Huston have joined the cast of Tim Lewiston’s British comedy thriller Hot Potato, which is currently shooting in Belgium and the UK.

UK popstar Louise Redknapp will also make her big screen debut in the crime caper, opposite Ray Winstone. Other new cast members include Phil Davis, David Harewood, John Lynch, Derren Nesbitt, Maike Bilitis and Jean Louis Sbille.

Set in 1969, the film tells the story of two East End guys Kenny and Danny (Winstone and Huston) who accidentally find a stash of weapons-grade uranium and try to sell it. Rednapp will play Winstone’s wife, whilst his real life daughter, Lois Winstone is playing Danny’s girlfriend.

It marks the directorial debut of Tim Lewiston, who has also written and is producing the project for his company Wardour Pictures, along with Alan Latham, Robert How, Novak Productions SCRL and uFilm sprl.

New York based company Locomotive Group is handling international sales.
