Lucy Punch, Bob Odenkirk and Rich Sommer have joined the cast of The Giant Mechanical Man which began shooting in Detroit recently.

Jenna Fischer, Topher Grace, Malin Akerman and Chris Messina star in the offbeat rom-com about a silver-painted street performer and the soft spoken zoo worker who falls for him.

Punch will play the street-performer’s girlfriend who disapproves of their lifestyle.

Fischer is producing alongside Molly Hassell, Michael Nardelli through his Taggart Productions and Brent Stiefel. Michael Gallant, Michael Cowan and Timothy Nardelli are executive producers.

Cowan of the UK’s Stealth Media is selling international rights and shares North American sales rights with WME Independent, who packaged the talent for the film.
