Daniel Stamm’s remake of the Thai horror film 13: Game Of Death has a new title and is ready to go into production on Tuesday (Oct 9). IM Global’s Octane genre division handles international sales and produces and finances. Dimension holds US rights.

Brian Kavanaugh-Jones of Automatik and Kiki Miyake’s Little Magic Films are also on board to produce the psychological thriller. IM Global chief Stuart Ford, Deepak Nayar and Michael Roban serve as executive producers alongside Jason Blum of Blumhouse Productions and Somsak Techaratanaprasert.

Pruitt Taylor Vince, Tom Bower and Devon Graye have also joined previously announced Mark Webber and Rutina Wesley on the story of a cash-strapped bureaucrat who becomes embroiled in a sinister game show where he must execute 13 tasks in order to win a $6m prize. Stamm and writing partner David Birke adapted the script from the original.

Octane wrapped principal photography last week on Catherine Hardwicke’s erotic thriller Plush, which Blumhouse is also producing.

The company is co-financing with Worldview Entertainment the upcoming Ti West horror Sacrament, which Eli Roth is producing and is set to begin shooting on Oct 15.
