The celebrated rock guitarist Slash has launched the aptly titled horror label in partnership with Michael Williams and Rob Eric of Scout Productions.

Slasher Films is in talks to acquire three new features after previously announcing the thriller Nothing To Fear, about sisters who stumble upon one of the seven gateways of hell. The producers are out to directors and production is scheduled to start this summer in Louisiana.

The slate includes Wake The Dead, a contemporary take on Frankenstein based on a graphic novel by Steve Niles, and the horror project Theorem from Splice director Vincenzo Natali.

Rounding out the slate is the supernatural epidemic tale The Other Kingdom written and to be directed by Philip

CAA brought Wake The Dead and Theorem to Slasher Films and will stay on board for packaging and representing distribution rights worldwide.

The deal for The Other Kingdom was negotiated by Jennifer Levine of Untitled Entertainment and Lisa Callamaro of The Callamaro Literary Agency as well as Craig Emanuel of Loeb & Loeb.

Shaun Redick and Ray Mansfield of the newly formed Movie Package Company are handling financing for the projects and will serve as executive producers.
