Harris Tulchin has boarded Deya Productions’ Robert Graves drama The Laureate as executive producer while former British Film Commissioner Steve Norris joins as UK producer.

Orlando Bloom will play the married British War Poet who falls for a young American writer, resulting in a menage a trois and an investigation into attempted murder. Imogen Poots and Kerry Condon also star.

William Nunez will direct and is also producing alongside Philip Moran. Shooting on the $7m project is scheduled to kick off in the UK and Ireland later this year.

“It’s fantastic to be joined by such experienced producers such as Steve and Harris as we gear up for production,” Nunez said. “The Laureate is a very sophisticated film and their knowledge and commitment will be invaluable.”

Tulchin served as executive producer on the Sundance hit and upcoming release The Devil’s Double. Norris was executive producer on Harry Brown and Me And Orson Wells, among others, and is a former managing director at UK effects company Framestore.

Deya Productions is a subsidiary of US producer North End Pictures and UK producer FfabUK.
