Voltage Pictures will finance the micro-budget thriller Home Invasion for Joel Silver.

Silver’s micro-budget label Zinc Entertainment is producing the tale of a family besieged in their home by intruders.

First-time director Sean Carter will take charge from a screenplay by debutant writer Joseph Dembner, who wrote the script after devising the story with Silver Pictures’ Alex Heineman.

Silver, Andrew Rona and Heineman will produce alongside Voltage head Nicolas Chartier and colleague Craig Flores. Silver’s Steve Richards will serve as executive producer. 

Filming on Home Invasion is scheduled to commence in June.
