David Gordon Green will direct the Dario Argento remake and Crime Scene Pictures will produce with First Sun and Memo Films. CAA represents US rights.

Crime Scene partners Adam Ripp and Rob Paris will serve as producers with Francesco Melzi d’Eril of Memo Films and Luca Guadagnino of First Sun.

Melzi d’Eril and writer-director Guadagnino collaborated on I Am Love and are preparingThe LandLords.

Green (pictured) adapted the screenplay with Chris Gebert and production is scheduled to kick off in September on the story of an American exchange student in Europe who attends a school that fronts a sinister organisation. Suspiria came out in 1977 and became a cult classic.

Rizal Risjad, Silvia Fendi and Philip Elway will serve as executive producers and Lisa Muskat will co-produce.
