Production is set to begin next month in Texas on Lian Lunson’s Waiting For The Miracle To Come starring Willie Nelson, Charlotte Rampling and newcomer Sophie Lowe.

Lunson’s (pictured) Horse Pictures produces alongside Molly Mayeux, Terence Berry and Fabrica de Cine head Gaston Pavlovich, while Cave Pictures’ Dale Brown and Mark Rodgers serve as executive producers with Matthew Malek, Wim Wenders and Bono.

Fabrica de Cine recently boarded Martin Scorsese’s passion project Silence, which is currently shooting.

Waiting For The Miracle To Come will shoot at Nelson’s private ranch, Luck, and tells of a young woman whose quest for gold takes her on a journey more rewarding than she ever imagined.

“I wrote this script for Willie Nelson — his presence and stillness as an actor is unlike anyone else,” said Lunson, who wrote the screenplay and makes her feature directorial debut.

“And growing up I always wanted to be Charlotte Rampling, so bringing these two icons together on screen is a dream come true for me.”

Rampling just won the Silver Bear for best actress in Berlin for her lead role in 45 Years.

Bono will write an original song for the film that Nelson will perform.
