Sony Pictures Releasing India has announced that Quantum Of Solace will be released in India on November 7, one week before the US opening on November 14.

The latest film in the Bond franchise will be released in the UK on October 31. However, this marks the first time that a Hollywood film will premiere in India before the US opening.

Kercy Daruwala, managing director, Sony Pictures Releasing India, said: 'Previously all markets other than the UK were to have a day-and-date release on November 7, but the US division has postponed its release by a week. November 7 works for us in India because we can still capitalise on the tail end of the Diwali vacations.'

Daruwala added that some Eastern markets will open on November 5.

According to Sony Pictures Releasing India, the film will be released on about 650-700 prints in four languages, including English and dubbed versions in the regional languages Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

Daruwala is confident that Quantum Of Solace will be the big Hollywood release of the year in India and surpass collections for Casino Royale. Daniel Craig reprises his role as the British Agent 007 in the film which is directed by Marc Foster.
