Rachel McAdams has been named the 2009 ShoWest Female Star Of The Year and will be honoured at a ceremony in Las Vegas on April 2.
McAdams broke through with star turns in The Notebook and Mean Girls and will next be seen in Universal's thriller and BBC series adaptation State Of Play opposite Russell Crowe, Ben Affleck and Helen Mirren.
Later this summer she will star with Eric Bana in New Line's romance The Time Traveler's Wife and rounds out a busy year with Warner Bros' Sherlock Homes starring Robert Downey Jr, Jude Law and Mark Strong.
McAdams' credits include Wedding Crashers, Red Eye, The Family Stone and The Lucky Ones. ShoWest runs from March 30-Arpil 2.
