Lynne Ramsay's UK drama Ratcatcher won the grand prize at the second edition of the Bratislava International Film Festival.

The award for best director went to Lee Chang-dong for Korean title Peppermint Candy. Mandy Matthews won the best actress prize for her part in Ratcatcher, while Peppermint Candy's Sol Kyung-gu took the best actor award.

Held from December 1-9 in the capitol of the Slovak Republic, the event established itself as a regular fixture by recording more than 40,000 cinema-goers.
