Regent Releasing and Here Media have acquired North American rights from MK2 to two projects.

The films are Lucia Puenzo’s Argentinean drama El Nino Pez and Eran Merav’s Israeli-French Zion And His Brother.

Regent/Here Media will distribute both films in select cities in early 2010. El Nino Pez stars Ines Efron and Mariela Vitale as star-crossed lovers who risk everything to stay together.

Zion And His Brother recounts the relationship between two Israeli brothers whose bond is tested by a tragic act.

Regent/Here Media’s general manager and executive vice-president of distribution and acquisitions Mark Reinhart negotiated the deal with MK2’s Matthieu Giblin.
