The winners of the eighth Bahamas International Film Festival (BIFF) were unveiled on Sunday night (Dec 4) at the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island.
The competition winners are as follows.

Best Short: Five Bones (Bahamas), dir Tyler Johnston
*Honorable mention to Tall Tale Of An Accidental Tourist (Bahamas), dir Jason Evans
Spirit Of Freedom: Narrative
VIPS (Brazil), dir Toniko Melo
*Honorable mention to Better Mus’ Come (Jamaica), dir Storm Saulter
Spirit Of Freedom: Documentary
Marathon Boy (USA-UK-India), dir Gemma Atwal
*Honorable mention to Zero Percent (US), dir Tim Skousen
Homecoming (US), dir Gursimran Sandhu
Best Narrative Feature: Better Mus’ Come (Jamaica), dir Storm Saulter
Best Documentary: On The Wings Of Men (US-Bahamas), dir Calvin Dwight Harris
The winning screenplay in BIFF’s Filmmakers’ Residency Program is Danea Cash’s screenplay March On.
