Online film journal Reverse Shothas announced its first foray into theatrical distribution withthe acquisition of Steven Bognar and Julia Reichert's documentary A LionIn The House.

Reverse Shothas scheduled engagements in 10 markets including New York, Boston, San Francisco andSeattle, and plans to add up to 20 more before and after the picture's Junebroadcast on PBS' Independent Lens series.

The ITVS, Bognar and Reichertproduction premiered at Sundance andprofiles five peoples' struggle with cancer.Films Transit's Jan Rofekampand Diana Holtzberg are handling international rights.

Neal Block and Jeff Reichert of ReverseShot negotiated the deal with the filmmakers and Rofekamp and Holtzberg.

"The reason we began Reverse Shot was to help bring audiences to just this kind of movie," Reverse Shot co-editor Michael Koresky said. "Our main focus will be to continue fostering great writing, but when the opportunity arises, we'd like to be able to showcase great films as well."
