EXCLUSIVE: Pat Holden’s UK horror film, based on a true story, had its world premiere in Rotterdam.

Revolver Entertainment has acquired UK rights from SC Films International for Pat Holden’s UK-set horror drama When The Lights Went Out. An autumn release is planned.

Pat Holden directs the story, based on true events. Producers are Bil Bungay (Moon) and Deepak Nayar (Tucker And Dale Vs Evil). David Mutch executive produces.

The story is set in Yorkshire in 1974, when The Maynard Family, Len (Steve Waddington), Jenny (Kate Ashfield) and their daughter Sally (Tasha Connor), move into their new family home, only to discover that the house already inhabited by a “presence” of a malign nature.

The film had its world premiere in Rotterdam; SC has also sold it to Ascot Elite for Germany, Zon Lusomundo for Portugal, Pioneer for Philippines, CineVideo for Mexico and EuroFilm for Argentina, Peru, and Venezuela.
