KjehlRasmussen's fledgling Hollywood-based distributor Fabrication Films has pickedup its first two features for worldwide distribution and will bring them to theAFM in Santa Monica next week.

The company,which plans to distribute six to nine titles a year including US theatricalreleases, has acquired all worldwide rights to Jay Anania's mystery Her NameIs Carla and allinternational rights to Dmitri Fiks' wartime thriller The Second Front.

Fabrication hasalso announced two key appointments, with former Curb Entertainment duo GlenReynolds and Wendy Reeds arriving as film division president and executive vicepresident respectively.

Her Name IsCarla centres on twocouples at a seaside mansion whose lives intertwine with shocking results.

Bergman LustigProductions produced and the picture stars Julian Sands, Julianne Nicholson,Mina Badie and Max Beesley.

The SecondFront is produced byMichel Litwak and Sergei Livnev and is set during the second world war, when ascientist's new invention brings him to the attention of German, English andRussian spies. Craig Sheffer, Todd Field and Ron Perlman star.

Reynolds most recently served as head of business affairsand acquisitions for Curb.

Reeds, who takescharge of worldwide sales of theatrical, home video and television titles, heldthe top sales position at Curb and also served as vice president of marketingat Kushner-Locke Entertainment and director of international sales atConquistador Entertainment and ITC Entertainment.

"With theaddition of Glen Reynolds and Wendy Reeds, Fabrication Films is continuing toexecute on its expansion plans," chief executive officer Rasmussen said in astatement.

"We look forwardto delivering both short and long form content to the company's many clientsand buyers from around the world for the ever increasing myriad of mediaplatforms."
