Robert A Fisher has been promoted from senior vice president of financial investments at Warner Bros Pictures to executive vice president.

Fisher held the post of senior vice president since 1994 and will continue to spearhead the studio's film financing activities and work with government agencies on policies that promote film production.

He joined the studio in 1983 and three years later was named vice president of financial investments. Prior to joining Warner Bros he worked as a tax consultant at Deloitte.

'Bob has been a pioneer for not only our company but for our entire industry in the creation and crafting of innovative financing deals that best take advantage of production opportunities,' Warner Bros' president of worldwide business affairs Steven S Spira said.
