Robert Forster has joined Kuno Becker on the cast of Randall Fried's Bay Of Pigs drama Fire Bay, which is set to begin shooting on Jul 16 in Mexico.

Fried's Los Angeles-based DragonFire Films will produce with Structured Capital Group Inc from New York City. Hector Lopez and Tony Mark are producing and Rowland Perkins, Basem Zakariya and Daniel Chai serve as executive producers.

Forster will play US General Dawkins, supreme military commander of the failed CIA invasion to overthrow Cuban lead Fidel Castro in 1961.

The story will be told through the eyes of the CIA strategists, the Cuban Exile Brigade enlisted by the Americans to depose Castro, and the White House team serving under President Kennedy.

'I am honoured and inspired by these world renowned film artists whose alchemy and passion is powering Fire Bay,' Fried, who wrote the screenplay, said. 'It has taken a relentless confluence of gifted talent, perfect timing and global IT to concretise Fire Bay.'

Forster is represented by Paradigm and Anonymous Content. Becker is handled by CAA, DePaz Management and Attorney Karl Austen.
