Rogue Pictures will handle the domestic release on Working Title'saction comedy Hot Fuzz,which began production in the UK last month and comes from the creative teambehind Shaun Of The Dead.

The Working Title production in association with Big TalkProductions is being directed by Edgar Wright from a screenplay he co-wrotewith Simon Pegg.

Pegg and Shaun Of The Dead co-star Nick Frost join an all-star UK line-up thatincludes Jim Broadbent, Paddy Considine, Martin Freeman, Bill Nighy, SteveCoogan and Timothy Dalton.

Pegg stars a top police officer who is so good at his job he makesall his colleagues look bad. To save the police force's blushes, he is transferredto a quiet rural village, where he teams up with a local officer and vindicateshis name by solving a series of grisly crimes.

Nira Park is producing with Working Title co-chiefs Tim Bevan andEric Fellner, while Natascha Wharton serves as executive producer.

Production kicked off last month in North London and Wells and isexpected to wrap by June.

'Shaun Of The Dead was the very first Rogue Pictures release, so it'sespecially gratifying to reteam with Edgar, Simon, Nick, Nira, and our friendsat Working Title,' Rogue production chief Andrew Rona said.

'With Hot Fuzz, we're going to give the police action genre the same treatmentwe gave the living dead,' Park added.
