Filmmaker and actor Jonathan Sachar has joined USdistribution outfit Kindred Media Group as executive vice president and willoversee development and financing.

Sachar has been working with Kindred on One Part Sugar starring Danny DeVito, Dylan Walsh andJustin Long; Southern Gothic; and Superheroes.

Kindred Media Group president Jeffrey D Erb said:'We're very happy to have Jonathan on board; he makes an enormouscontribution to the Kindred team. His experience in film development andfinancing will allow us capitalise on our aggressive growth strategy.'

The company wasfounded in 2004 and has offices in West Hollywood and Pennsylvania. Its 2006release slate includes Game 6 starring Michael Keaton; Jailbait starring Michael Pitt; and LauraSmiles starring PetraWright.
