Former New Regency director of operations Kevin Riley has joined Los Angeles-based financing and production company Samy Boy Entertainment as chief financial officer.

In his new role, Riley will oversee daily operations of the company's film division and supervise the development and production departments.

Prior to joining the company, Riley held senior media-related posts at both

Warner Bros and 20th Century Fox.

"We had been looking for someone with the financial, managerial and development experience that Kevin has," Sam Nazarian, the company's founder and president, said in a statement.

"His experience and ability to mesh various disciplines is a great asset to the early growth of Samy Boy."

The company launched in 2002 and has a multi-year production deal with Los Angeles-based H.S.I. Productions as well as a 10-12 P&A pact for domestic distribution with MAC Releasing.

Samy Boy Films recently completed on its first feature, Trespassing, which stars Estella Warren and is directed by James Merendino.
