Klaus Haro’s Finnish entry Letters To Father Jaakob (Postia Pappi Jaakobille) was named best international film as the Santa Barbara International Film Festival came to a close.

Stuart Hazeldine’s Exam, which was recently acquired by IFC for the US, won the Panavision Spirit Award for Independent Cinema, while the Nueva Vision Award for best Spanish/Latin American film was awarded to The Wind Journeys by Ciro Guerra.
