Film and TV veteran Sasha Buehler is to join Constantin Film's acquisitions and licensing team from Oct 1 after spending the past three years as head of acquisitions for Munich's SquareOne Entertainment.
American-born Buehler started her career in the industry in 1990 with news production at broadcaster ProSieben, later working for production houses Zolcer TV and HaffaDiebold Film + Fernseh Produktion before becoming an independent producer of animation, live-action and documentaries in 2001.
Commenting on the appointment, company director Matthias Peipp said: 'Sasha Buehler is an experienced film rights trading expert and has been familiar with the American and German market for many years. We are therefore delighted to have secured ourselves the services of someone who is so knowledgeable and has such a good reputation on the market.'
