Denmark's Scanbox Entertainment, which was recently acquired byIcelandic-born producer Joni Sighvatsson, has signed a deal to buy leading homeentertainment distributor DVS Entertainment from Nordisk Film and SE 2001.

"DVS has delivered very satisfactory results throughout thelast few years," Nordisk film distribution chief Michael Junker said.

"The further development of the company is, however, bestserved by having Scanbox as the single owner, but Nordisk looks forward to astrong, continuing business relationship with DVS."

DVS's turnover is approximately 115m Dkr ($18m); the company employs39 people in Viborg.

"This acquisition fits with our strategy of expanding ourcore business and will also bring substantial savings to DVS by combining andsharing resources with Scanbox," Scanbox Group chairman Sighvatsson added.

Scanbox's annual turnover is approximately 400m Dkr ($62.6m) andemploys 150 people.

Sighvatssonacquired 75% of the company at the start of 2006.
