Munich-based sales outfit Studio 100 Film HAS unveiled first look images from animated adventure comedy movie Miss Moxy, ahead of the launch of sales at this year’s American Film Market (AFM, October 31-November 5)
The 85–minute feature film from the Netherlands’ Phanta Animation follows Miss Moxy, a domesticated cat who gets lost during a summer holiday in Southern France. She sets off on an exciting odyssey to find her way back home across Europe, getting unusual support from a stupid dog and an old bird. The movie is based on a true story in which a tabby cat called Boo found its way back home after 13 years.
It is directed by Vincent Bal (The Zigzag Kid) and Wip Vernooij, and adapted and written for the screen by Maureen Versprille
Miss Moxy is a Dutch-Belgian co-production between Phanta Animation, BosBros and Eyeworks Film & TV Drama. It is produced by Petra Goedings, Jolande Junte and Burny Bos together with Belgian co-producer Peter Bouckaert.
Studio 100 Film, a subsidiary of Studio 100 Media is acting as international sales agent and will present the movie at this year’s AFM.
“From the moment Miss Moxy came to shape, this lovely character has become a true darling to all of us and we cannot wait to make this film happen in collaboration with our dear colleagues at Studio 100”, said producer Petra Goedings.
