World premieres of Stijn Coninx's Sea Of Silence and Pieter-Rim and Maarten de Kroon's documentary Dutch Light will open the newly established Benelux Screenings of the Holland Film Meeting at the Netherlands Film Festival on September 26.

The Dutch-Belgian-German-Danish co-production Sea Of Silence was pitched at the Netherlands Production Platform of the Holland Film Meeting in 2000. Warner Bros. will release the film in Dutch cinemas from October 30.

Dutch Light, described by its directors as "a tribute both to light and observing" and shot over a year in Holland, the South of France and Arizona, examines the phenomenon of the famous Dutch light which was supposedly so important for Dutch painting and science since the 17th century. The Dutch theatrical release by Film Museum Distribution is set for November 6.
