Lorene Scafaria’s feature directorial debut Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World is a comedic drama starring Steve Carell and Keira Knightley as strangers who get together as an asteroid approaches earth. Focus Features will release in the US on Jun 22.
Sundance hit and upcoming Un Certain Regard entry Beasts Of The Southern Wild from Benh Zeitlin will also screen ahead of its US release through Fox Searchlight on Jun 27.
Also added to the roster is Sundance entry Middle Of Nowhere which AFFRM will release with Participant on Oct 12.
As previously announced, the North American premiere of Woody Allen’s To Rome With Love will open the festival on Jun 14. The event closes on Jun 24.
