Senator International will handle international sales on GoldCircle's high concept comedy The Long Weekend, which stars Chris Klein (AmericanPie) and Brendan Fehr (BikerBoyz, Final Destination).

Currently shooting in Vancouver, the film has already been pickedup by Entertainment Film Distributors for UK distribution and HoytsCinemas/Universal have jointly acquired distribution rights in Australia.

Written by Tad Safran and directed by Pat Holden, The LongWeekend centres on aman's efforts to save his career over the course of one weekend at the sametime as his brother plans to help him meet some ladies.

Paula Call, senior vice president of business and legal affairs atSenator International, negotiated agreement on behalf of Senator and ScottNiemeyer negotiated on behalf of Gold Circle.

Gold Circle's Paul Brooks and Shawn Williamson of BrightlightPictures are producing and Vin Di Bona, Stephen Hegyes and Safran willexecutive produce. Senator International has a multi-picture, co-financing dealwith Gold Circle.

"The Long Weekend is another happy collaboration with our usual partners, SenatorInternational, Brillstein-Grey and Brightlight," Brooks said in a statement.

"Paul and his team at Gold Circle have a knack for findinghilarious films and The Long Weekend is no exception," Senator International president Joe Drakeadded.

"It's a great concept with broad appeal and the script has beenracking up laughs from buyers around the world. We're expecting to do greatbusiness at AFM."

SenatorInternational is also handling international sales on Gold Circle's WhiteNoise, a supernaturalthriller starring Michael Keaton and Deborah Kara Unger, and SomethingBorrowed, a romanticcomedy starring Debra Messing and Dermont Mulroney.
