Peter Hoffman's Seven Arts Pictures has boarded the $60m thriller Neuromancer, based on William Gibson's 1984 cyberpunk classic book.

Joseph Kahn (Torque) will direct from Gibson's adapted screenplay about a computer hacker in a dystopian near-future whose brain is sabotaged after he is caught stealing from his employer.

The production and sales company will also be talking up Catwalk, a murderous tale of the glamour industry that is in pre-production, as well as action thriller MAD and the recently completed psychological thriller Nine Miles Down.
