Sierra Pictures has acquired international rights to the crime thriller Rampart and comedy Darling Companion and is commencing sales at AFM.

Woody Harrelson stars as a renegade police officer who takes the law into his own hands when his life is threatened. Sigourney Weaver, Robin Wright, Ben Foster, Anne Heche, Ice Cube, Cynthia Nixon, Ned Beatty and Steve Buscemi round out the cast.

Harrelson and Foster reunite with their director on The Messenger, Oren Moverman. James Ellroy wrote the screenplay and WME represents North American rights.

Lawrence Inglee, Clark Peterson and Foster are producing and Kenneth Kao and Michael DeFranco of Amalgam Features serve as executive producers along with Paul Currie of Lightstream Pictures.

Darling Companion is a comedy from Werc Werk Works and Likely Story and stars Kevin Kline, Diane Keaton, Dianne Wiest, Richard Jenkins and Sam Shepard.

Lawrence Kasdan is directing from a script he wrote with Meg Kasdan about a dog lover who loves her pet more than her husband, who loses her dog.

The cast includes Elisabeth Moss, Mark Duplass and Ayelet Zurer. CAA represents North American rights and the film is currently in production in Utah.

Anthony Bregman is producing for Likely Story alongside Elizabeth Redleaf for Werc Werk Works and Lawrence Kasdan for Kasdan Pictures.  Christine Walker, Meg Kasdan and John Kelly serve as executive producers.

Sierra’s AFM slate includes Catfish, Shark Night 3D and Adaline, which it is selling jointly with Lakeshore International.
