Sony BMG Music Entertainment has acquired US rights in all mediato by Tim Skousen's 2006 Slamdance Film Festival winner, The SasquatchDumpling Gang.

The acquisition was made by Sony BMG Film, which was set up inAugust 2005 to develop, finance and produce music-related theatrical releases,together with Sony BMG Music Entertainment.

The Sasquatch Dumpling Gang tells of a young genre fan and his friends who thinkthey've found Bigfoot after stumbling onto huge footprints in the woods.Hilarity ensues as they try to turn a profit.

Jeremy Coon and Triggerstreet Productions/Trigger StreetIndependent's Kevin Spacey, Dana Brunetti, Mark Kassen, Adam Kassen, and CrazyDreams' Randy Holleschau produced the picture.

Sasquatchalso took top honours for director and actor Justin Long at the Aspen ComedyFilm Festival last week.

"The Sasquatch Dumpling Gang is a hilarious comedy and we arethrilled to have the opportunity to count it among our first releases,"Sony BMG Film senior vice president Sofia Sondervan said.

Cinetic Media negotiated the deal on behalf of Trigger Street withSony BMG's Chuck Fleckenstein.

Sony BMG Filmwill commence production this spring on Reggaeton, which will be directed by AlejandroChomski and produced in association with Jennifer Lopez' Nuyorican Films.
