John McNaughton's comedy Speaking Of Sex will have its world premiere as the closing night film of the Chicago International Film Festival on Oct 18.
The film stars James Spader as an over-sexed therapist who becomes involved with a new client (Melora Walters) while a rival doctor (Lara Flynn Boyle) is determined to catch him in the act. Catherin O'Hara, Jay Mohr and Bill Murray co-star.
A native of Chicago, McNaughton has directed films including Henry: Portrait Of A Serial Killer (1990) which world premiered at the festival, Sex, Drugs, Rock & Roll (1991), Mad Dog And Glory (1993) and Wild Things (1998).
StudioCanal has international sales rights to the film.
