New work from Spike Jonze (pictured), James Franco, Ira Sachs and Alex Montoya are among the line-up of short films that will screen at Sundance 2010.
Programmers selected 70 fictional, documentary and animated US and international entries from 6,092 submissions, a rise of 8% over 2009.

Exit Through the Gift Shop, the directorial debut by celebrated street artist Banksy will have its world premiere as the surprise film in Sundance’s Spotlight section on January 24.
LA-based Shoreline Entertainment has acquired worldwide rights to Javier Fuentes-Leon’s debut feature Undertow (Contracorriente) ahead of its world premiere at Sundance on January 26.
The Sundance Institute has added world premieres of Gurinder Chadha’s (pictured) It’s A Wonderful Afterlife, Lisa Cholodenko’s The Kids Are Alright and Galt Niederhoffer’s The Romantics to the festival.
