Jesse Bradford, Zooey Deschanel, Glenne Headly and Kelly Preston have joined Myriad Pictures' star-studded comedy Eulogy. The four join Hank Azaria, Ray Romano, Rip Torn and Debra Winger, who have already committed to the project, with principal photography due to begin in Los Angeles on Saturday (Feb 22). Artisan Entertainment will handle US distribution and Myriad will offer the project to international buyers at AFM.

Billed by Myriad president Kirk D'Amico, as a 'heartwarming comedy', Eulogy takes place at the funeral of a family patriarch, where three generations gather to pay their respects and a teenage granddaughter is selected to deliver the eulogy. The picture marks the directorial debut of Michael Clancy, who also wrote the screenplay and won an award for his short film, Emily's Last Date.

Bradford's credits include Swimfan, while Deschanel has won acclaim for her performances in The Good Girl and currently appears in David Gordon Green's Sundance hit, All The Good Girls. Headly's credits include Dick Tracy and Babe: Pig In The City and Preston will next be seen in The Cat In The Hat with Mike Myers.

"This is, quite simply, a comedy dream team. It boosts our excitement about this hilarious project even further," D'Amico said in a statement.

Eulogy is a Myriad Pictures presentation, in association with Ovation Entertainment, Equity Pictures Medienfonds and SRO Entertainment AG, of a Haft Entertainment and Myriad Pictures production. D'Amico and Ovation's Richard Lewis (Backdraft, Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves) will produce.
