IFC Films has pre-bought US rights to Jean-Claude Brisseau's drama A l'Aventure, which is expected to premiere at one of the major festivals this autumn.

Brisseau wrote the story of a frustrated woman who explores hypnotism in search of the ultimate sexual satisfaction. Carole Brana, Arnaud Binard and Lise Bellynck star and Frederic Niedermayer is producing.

'We're thrilled to be working with Jean-Claude again, as we had such great success with his last film The Exterminating Angels,' IFC Entertainment president Jonathan Sehring said.

'A fearless director in his exploration of female sexuality, A L'Aventure looks to repeat that success and be one of his most exciting and entertaining films yet. We're looking forward bringing this to American audiences.'

Sehring negotiated the deal with Francois Yon and Nicolas Brigaud-Robert of Films Distribution.

IFC Films acquired Brisseau's The Exterminating Angels at Cannes in 2006 at Cannes.
